UNEARTHING FORGOTTEN NARRATIVES
Defunct Objects | Read more
“Unearthing Forgotten Narratives” is a street photography project capturing defunct and discarded urban objects—rusted, broken, once useful—now ignored. Through intimate, close frames with a 50mm lens, the project evokes metaphors of transience, decay, and quiet resilience. In each forgotten item, it challenges viewers to find meaning, beauty, and social commentary within urban neglect.
Glass Cleaners | Read more
Between Glass and Gravity examines the quiet labour of glass-cleaning workers in red uniforms, suspended high above the street. Through reflections, repetition, and scale, the series foregrounds dignity, risk, and invisibility—revealing human presence etched onto the city’s surface, where work unfolds between transparency and gravity, order and vulnerability.

The project is a monochrome exploration of India’s visual artisans—the silent guardians of culture and tradition. Stripping away color, each image unveils the raw essence of craftsmanship, reverence, and resilience. Fine Art
Bare Trees | Read more
“Naked Elegance” is a black and white photography series exploring the sculptural beauty of leafless trees. Captured in stark landscapes, these bare forms reveal silent strength and delicate vulnerability. Through light, shadow, and form, the project becomes a meditation on impermanence, introspection, and the quiet resilience that exists when everything else has fallen away.
Nature Abstract | Read more
“Nature and Art” is an abstract photography series that isolates fragments of the natural world, stripping away context to invite fresh perception. By embracing randomness and ambiguity, the project blurs the line between image and imagination. Through patterns, textures, and tonal explorations, it transforms nature’s raw forms into visual poetry—subjective, mysterious, and deeply personal.
Architecture
Vintage Mumbai | Read more
A visual exploration of Mumbai’s overlooked heritage architecture—non-touristy, timeworn, yet brimming with silent narratives. Through muted colors and the interplay of natural light and shadow, the series reveals the quiet dignity of forgotten buildings, inviting viewers into a contemplative dialogue with the city’s past that still breathes amid the present.
Portraiture
People Portraits | Read more
This project is a black-and-white meditation on transient human connections—friends, collaborators, and companions whose paths once intertwined with mine. Each portrait freezes a moment of shared life now relegated to memory. Through stillness, softness, and silence, the series honors the quiet imprints left by those who shaped us before fading into the background of time.
Family Portraits | Read more
“Roots & Reverence” is a black-and-white homage to my family—a series of honest, emotionally rich portraits capturing the essence of love, connection, and shared history. Through tender gestures, spontaneous laughter, and quiet moments, these images celebrate the beauty of togetherness, offering a window into the deep bonds that shape who we are and where we belong.
Skyscapes
Beautiful Sky | Read more
I challenged myself to capture low light skyscapes from my bedroom window. I had never tried it before, and that’s what makes it special. Needless to say, I learnt many things in this process, including, how to take steady photos when your aperture is f/10+ and your ISO is still hovering around 100. Shutter speed and white balance definitely helped me rise to the challenge of clicking these photographs, from the same spot, of the same subject, on a different day, and yet have some interesting variety.

ART MOVEMENTS

Abstract
ART MOVEMENT
July 2021– Present: As part of the bigger project to create and curate photography work inspired by art movements, I started working on the second leg of the project based on the theme ‘abstract’. For this project, my idea is to think, imagine and visualize a scene beyond their typical representations and contextual meaning and reveal details that often goes unnoticed.

Naked Elegance
PROJECT
2009-14: Amidst the desolation, there is a quiet majesty that stirs the soul—a reminder of the cyclical nature of life and the enduring beauty found in simplicity. Through my work, I seek to capture the profound beauty of these bare trees, inviting viewers to pause and immerse themselves in the delicate dance of light and shadow upon nature’s naked canvas.

Roots & Reverance

Potted Treasures
GALLERY
2023-Present: Monsoon 2023, while mostly spending my time at home, I decided to capture the beauty of the plants I have grown on my balconies. Growing these plants in the limited space you get, in Mumbai flats, is indeed challenging. Thankfully, I had ample space in my rented flat this time to dabble in my childhood love of growing plants and a nice colleague to keep me inspired.

Crafted in Silence
PROJECT
“Art and Artisans of India” is my photography project where I embark on a journey through the rich tapestry of India’s artistic heritage, delving deep into the souls of visual artisans who breathe life into tradition. Through the language of monochrome, I invite viewers to partake in this visual odyssey, where the silent eloquence of black and white speaks volumes about the enduring spirit of India’s artistic heritage.

Beyond the Window
PROJECT
June 2020: This lock-down, I challenged myself to capture low-light evening skyscapes from my bedroom window. More than few beautiful pictures, what came out of it, was loads of learning and practice, while the world was still reluctant to heading for shoot. The challenge here was to take the photographs, of the same subject, from the same spot, just on a different day, and yet have some amazing variations.

Minimalism
ART MOVEMENT
June 2021 – Present: Inspired by a Netflix documentary directed by Matt D’Avella on this subject and an audiobook titled, ‘The Minimalist Way‘ authored by Erica Layne, I tried to explore more about ‘minimalism’, particularly as a form of art. This self-assigned photography project is where I attempt to create images that, I think, depicts ‘minimalism’ in its true spirit.

Self-portraits
GALLERY
2015 – Present: My exploration into the realm of self-portraiture in monochrome serves as a deeply introspective journey, capturing the essence of my identity and emotions in a timeless form.

Fleeting Encounters
PROJECT
2013 – Present: n the fleeting passage of time, our lives intersect with countless others, weaving a tapestry of shared moments and connections. My portrait photography work in black and white is an exploration of these ephemeral encounters, capturing the essence of friends and colleagues whose paths crossed with mine along the journey of life.

Chromatic Reverie
GALLERY
2010 – Present: Step into a world where vibrant blooms dance with the subtlety of monochrome elegance. Welcome to my photographic journey, where I invite you to explore the captivating contrast between colorful blossoms and lush greenery alongside their enchanting counterparts in shades of black and white.

Clouds of Monsoon
GALLERY
August 2021: I love clouds when they are in the mood to play around or paint colors on the canvas we call sky. I find clouds so interesting that I often try to remove all distracting elements from my frame and just keep the clouds as my main subject. This project is dedicated to capturing the beauty of clouds and clouds only.

Lines of Ascent

2012- Present: In the heart of the bustling urban landscape, I navigate the labyrinth of steel and concrete, seeking out the poetry inscribed within modern architectural marvels. Through my photography, I invite the viewer to explore the urban landscape with fresh eyes, to appreciate the beauty hidden in the mundane, and to ponder the profound impact of architecture on our daily lives.
