We admire flowers for their vibrant colors and delicate forms. But what happens when color is taken away? Do they still hold the same beauty? Through these black-and-white photographs, I explore flowers beyond their chromatic allure, working instead with light, shadow, and subtle shades of grey. Stripped of color’s distraction, the images invite the viewer to notice form, texture, and quiet elegance in their purest visual expression.

Fragments of the Real

Fragments of the Real is an abstract photography series that isolates fragments of the natural world, stripping away context to invite fresh perception. By embracing randomness and ambiguity, the project blurs the line between image and imagination. Through patterns, textures, and tonal explorations, it transforms nature’s raw forms into visual poetry—subjective, mysterious, and deeply personal.

Naked Elegance

Naked Elegance is a black and white photography series exploring the sculptural beauty of leafless trees. Captured in stark landscapes, these bare forms reveal silent strength and delicate vulnerability. Through light, shadow, and form, the project becomes a meditation on impermanence, introspection, and the quiet resilience that exists when everything else has fallen away.

Potted Treasures

Monsoon 2023, while mostly spending my time at home, I decided to capture the beauty of the plants I have grown on my balconies. Growing these plants in the limited space you get, in Mumbai flats, is indeed challenging. Thankfully, I had ample space in my rented flat this time to dabble in my childhood love of growing plants and a nice colleague to keep me inspired.

Crafted in Silence

The project is a monochrome exploration of India’s visual artisans—the silent guardians of culture and tradition. Stripping away color, each image unveils the raw essence of craftsmanship, reverence, and resilience. Through hands, faces, and sacred workspaces, this series pays tribute to the enduring spirit behind India’s art forms, often unseen but deeply alive.

Beyond the Window

June 2020, I challenged myself to capture low light skyscapes from my bedroom window. I had never tried it before, and that’s what makes it special. Needless to say, I learnt many things in this process, including, how to take steady photos when your aperture is f/10+ and your ISO is still hovering around 100. Shutter speed and white balance definitely helped me rise to the challenge of clicking these photographs, from the same spot, of the same subject, on a different day, and yet have some interesting variety.

Green is the Colour

Green is the most familiar color in nature, yet its quiet variations often go unnoticed. In this series, I turn my attention to the subtle world of leaves—where light, texture, veins, and form reveal an endless spectrum within a single color. Though bound by green, each frame seeks to uncover its hidden rhythms and delicate patterns, inviting the viewer to slow down and rediscover the quiet beauty that surrounds us every day.

Cruising Through Time

There is a certain romance to vintage automobiles—the era of sweeping curves, gleaming chrome, and handcrafted details that modern machines rarely replicate. Photographed at the 40th Annual Vintage Car Fiesta in Mumbai, this gallery captures some of these timeless icons up close. From elegant body lines to finely crafted interiors, the images celebrate not just the cars themselves, but the enduring charm of an age when automobiles were designed with unmistakable character and style.

I love clouds when they are in the mood to play around or paint colors on the canvas we call sky. I find clouds so interesting that I often try to remove all distracting elements from my frame and just keep the clouds as my main subject. This project is dedicated to capturing the beauty of clouds and clouds only.
