Fleeting Encounters

In the fleeting passage of time, our lives intersect with countless others, weaving a tapestry of shared moments and connections. My portrait photography work in black and white is an exploration of these ephemeral encounters, capturing the essence of friends and colleagues whose paths crossed with mine along the journey of life.

Through the medium of black and white photography, I seek to distill the essence of these individuals, freezing moments in time that evoke the depth of our shared experiences. Each portrait is a testament to the profound impact these individuals once had on my life, their faces etched in memory even as time marches forward.

Yet, despite the vivid recollection of their presence, I find myself distanced from these figures of the past. Though once integral to my story, they have gradually faded into the backdrop of memory. What remains are fragments of moments captured in monochrome, each photograph a poignant reminder of the transient nature of human connections.

Through this body of work, I invite viewers to contemplate the nature of friendship, memory, and the passage of time. As the faces of my subjects gaze out from the frame, they serve as reminders of the impermanence of life and the inevitability of change. Though they may now be just names from chapters past, their presence lingers as a testament to the profound impact of those who have touched our lives, if only for a fleeting moment.
